Outreach and Awareness Committee
The goal of this committee is to educate members, and the ubc committee, about various humanitarian issues within vancouver, as well as globally. In addition, the committee aims to provide meaningful hands-on volunteer opportunities for members through community partnerships. In the past, this has included creating safe injection packages, running essential items drives, volunteering at soup kitchens, etc.
Fundraising Committee
Every year, UBCRCC chooses one appeal of the year from the Canadian Red cross to fundraise for (as well as fundraising for local non-profits such as mission possible). The goal of this committee is to plan and run events throughout the year to raise money for these causes!
Humanitarian Movement Committee
The humanitarian movement is an initiative aimed at empowering both highschool and university students interested in humanitarian issues through our annual humanitarians training conference. Through the conference, we engage youth leaders with humanitarian issues and support them in making an impact within their local and global community.
Training Committee
The goal of this committee is to provide accessible and affordable training opportunities (such as first aid training, naloxone training, psychological first aid training etc.) to the ubc community and beyond, to ensure they are prepared as possible to respond to various situations.
